Oak View Group has plans to build a multi-billion entertainment complex that would include a 2,000 room casino resort and 20,000-seat arena built to NBA standards and doubling as a world-class concert venue.

The site is adjacent to Brightline West's Southern California to Southern Nevada high-speed train terminal complex.

The project will be completely privately financed and become the most expensive development ever built in the Las Vegas valley.

Ground breaking is planned for 'sometime in 2024'. * LeBron James and Floyd Mayweather have separately expressed interest in owning a Las Vegas NBA team.

Brightline West's high-speed rail project received a $3 billion grant from the federal infrastructure bill and approval for an additional $2.5 billion in private tax exempt municipal bonding. Total DOT approval and grants now total $6.5 billion - about half the expected $12 billion cost of the project, with debt and private capital to provide the remainder.

When complete, the 218-mile all-electric rail service will connect Las Vegas to the Los Angeles area along the median of the I-15 highway, reaching speeds up to 200 mph. Stations are planned for Hesperia, Apple Valley and Rancho Cucamonga California, allowing direct travel to and from downtown Los Angeles via the Metrolink.

The project is expected to take about four years with the system online before the 2028  Los Angeles Olympic Games.
